“Take a gastronomic tour of Old Delhi’s streets with Spin Monkey. The guides for the evening food walk are established food bloggers who have a broad understanding about every dish and restaurant. Each local stall and restaurant is handpicked for the flavourful dishes they serve. The walk is tailor made for guests with dietary restrictions and also caters to vegetarians. The tour starts from Chawri Bazaar at 3 PM and Spin Monkey’s guests are always advised to reach about 5-10 minutes sooner.

Spin Monkey starts their Evening Old Delhi Food Walk with some homemade ice cream. At the next stop, guests are treated to some local Indian puffy bread made from wheat flour and a layer of lentils served with spiced potatoes, at a sweet shop. The tour goes on to take you through the narrow streets of Old Delhi. Amongst other places, guests also get to visit the community kitchen of a Sikh temple. The walk covers everything from Halwas, a Mughal inspired Lamb dish, and more. “

A Soulful AppetiteI have always missed connecting to the Old Delhi charm but after the last night's food walk, I am content.And thanks to Team Spinmonkey, who were kind enough to include our tour at the last minute.Thier passion to get us, all the popular Street food that we have requested earlier was commendable and they made sure that we didn't missed any.Qureshi's mouth watering kababs, Mohd. Hussain's fried chicken (JFC), sharbat-e-mohabbat, Hallem, Nihari, Biryani.... evrything was epic.And the festive season of Ramzan made it even more special.Thank you SpinMonkey from the bottom of my tummy. Exotic Old Delhi with a local friendWe did a tour with SpinMonkey, booked last minute through Airbnb.Our guide was Rohan and he was excellent. Rohan met us at the hotel and went with us to old Delhi showing us the spice market, temples, mosks, various shops, narrow streets and back alleys. We also tasted great food and had lunch at a local restaurant.Rohan was very knowledgable and told us about Delhi’s history, as well as giving us great insight into current matters, such as taking us to meet the only female spice merchant in the spice market, leaving a lasting impression on us.I highly recommend this tour and SpinMonkey. From the moment we booked the tour all communications were great and the whole experience was perfect. Just what I was looking for in a walking tour through old Delhi.
